Happy New Year’s Eve!!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! It was a lot of fun for us. We finally got good snow. It was nice to wake up and see the snow falling instead of the slush we got the other day. And it was the good snow. The snow that’s perfect for snow balls and snowmen. I happened to get up early and notice that the white stuff was falling and got a few minutes of just enjoying it in its perfect whiteness before it got tracked up.
And then once it was time to play we got to enjoy a snowball fight and a snowman
It was so pretty. I love the look of it on the trees
And now it’s time to get ready for tonight! I hope that everyone stays healthy and gets to come to the party. We have been staying home and inviting friends over for the last few years. It’s a fun time. All the kids are invited and get to run and play and the adults get to hang out as well. I try to have the fun party stuff for the kiddos. Hats and blowers and necklaces and even decorate one room with streamers so they feel like they have their own little party. I think the food may be my favorite part tho. We always have way too many dips but they seem to be a hit and its the perfect party food. This year we have taco, blt, spinach artichoke, and buffalo chicken dip along with pepperoni rolls on the menu. I can’t wait to ring in the new year!
Another fun part of tonight will be exchanging Christmas gifts for the final time with some friends and kiddos. I finally finished the last no sew blanket gift and I can’t wait to give them out. After making 15 over the last few weeks I think I’m a pro and that I’m going to take a break from them for a while.
Hope everyone has a fun, safe and happy New Years Eve and a great new year!
