Hope everyone had a great Christmas!
I know my house had an excellent few days. The kid was very pleased with Santa and his gifts. The hubby and I didn’t do too bad either. I do believe that we will be building with Legos for the next few months. The kid got Legos and Legos and more Legos this year. We were up at 7am and began the opening process. With a 5 yr old it doesn’t take to long to rip open the paper so it was over way to soon but luckily I got a few pictures. As soon as the paper was cleaned up it was time to start playing. Legos and video games! I’m not sure who enjoys the Legos more the kid or hubby or myself. And while we worked to build the monster train and bat mobile and ninjago vehicles we were also cooking.
Christmas dinner was very yummy this year. Top two dishes: Hubby’s Stuffing and my Brussels Sprouts. Other notables potatoes from a Pinterest recipe and black eyed peas from a Food Network Magazine recipe. The food was great, we had a great visit with family and the kid got gifts he loved. Over all it was a 5 star holiday.
I would have loved to have a white Christmas but that didn’t happen. However, today we have snow and rain and ice. But that didn’t stop me from enjoying after Christmas sale shopping! Every year I get up early and take a few hours of on my own, stress free, kid free, spouse free shopping. I buy some pretty Christmas items, grab a few presents for next year and replenish my gift wrapping supplies. This year I got a few pretties but was a little disappointed at the lack of Christmas lights on the shelves. And now we have decided to brave the snow and head to Ikea. I would like to change up the kids room a little. When we left the house I didn’t quite realize what the roads were gonna be like once we were out and about. And so after some slush and only one lane cleared we have made it close to our destination and have hit snow covered
.
Hope everyone has a great day shopping, playing, cleaning or whatever you do on the day after Christmas!!

Thank you. Do you celebrate “boxing day” in America? Hooray for legos.
